The Lincoln Garden Club, founded in 1928 and federated in 1930, aims at providing community services to the town of Lincoln in Massachusetts, and giving members the opportunity to enhance and share their knowledge of garden-related topics such as horticulture, design, conservation, and beautification.

Below are listed a few of our most important club activities.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Station Park and Watering Troughs
Town-owned Station Park, on Lincoln Road across from the mall, has been designed and maintained by the Club since 1972. The park includes trees, flowering shrubs and perennials that Club members care for. Many of the plants at the park are native to this area, which supports and encourages native birds, insects and other animals.
The Club also maintains two watering troughs, one located at the five corners in front of the Library, and another at the intersection of Codman Rd with Lincoln Rd.
Mission for Cheer & Library Flowers
Twice a year, in December and spring, Club members arrange and deliver flowers and plants to senior citizens who are either ill, confined to their homes or have recently lost a family member.
Club members also provide weekly flower arrangements for the Lincoln Public Library’s front desk.
WORKSHOPS
The Club sponsors town-wide workshops that range from encouraging native habitats and plant propagation to flower arranging and veggie gardening.
DAY TRIPS
Club members carpool for horticultural outings to seasonal destinations. Some of the recent ones the club visited are Blithewold, Garden in the Woods, Bedrock Gardens, Fuller Gardens, and the greenhouses at Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.
FUNDRAISERS
The Club holds a plant sale every other May. Members donate perennials and shrubs from their gardens, sold along with annuals and vegetable seedlings. Club members man the sale and are available to give advice and share gardening tips.
On alternate years, the Club holds a special event aimed at raising funds for its community service activities.
EXHIBITS
Club members participate in the Art in Bloom exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts and the Boston Flower Show by using their talents to create imaginative arrangements for these events.
